Story

Get to Know Us

We met back in 2017 when Sophie first came to Nottingham for university and the two of us lived in the same block. We became good friends before getting officially together at the start of 2018.

After that, both of us completed our undergraduate and masters degrees before moving into our first non-student apartment together. After being together for almost 5 years, we travelled to Hawaii for a few days where Tom proposed on the very first night because he was too nervous to wait any longer! Sophie of course said yes (otherwise you wouldn't be here reading this now)!

Since then, we've bought our first house together and brought home Ginny, our Golden Retriever and first born child, while we've been busy planning the wedding!

How to Get to the Venue

Sudeley Castle & Gardens sits just on the edge of Winchcombe, a small town near Cheltenham in the heart of the Cotswolds.

By Car:

Sudeley Castle is situated near Winchcombe, 8 miles north east of Cheltenham on the B4632 (A46) or just 10 miles from junction 9 of the M5.

The castle has lots of free parking and handicapped parking available. To enter into maps, the post code is GL54 5LP.

By Train:

The closest train station is Cheltenham Spa.

By Airplane:

If you are flying into the UK, London Heathrow will most likely be the airport you fly into (ask Sophie or Tom how best to get to the venue from there). At Heathrow, you can either:

Rent a car: choose from many of the options there and then follow the above directions for driving
Take the train: take the Heathrow Express train which is every 15 minutes to Paddington Station. From there, there are direct train options which take two hours and will take you straight to Cheltenham Spa Station where you can get a taxi
Book a hire car service: A Private Hire do direct journeys from Heathrow to Winchcombe for less than Uber and there's probably more options available
